| Abstract | ||
| This research was conducted to find the best olive cultivar in the Tarom climate and recommendation to the stable environments. To identify the optimal two important parameters of "high yield" and "low alternate bearing" is considered. The cultivars studied in this study consist of eight Local and Foreign cultivars: Konservolia, Manzanilla, Koroneiki, Arbequin, Roghani, Tokhm-kabki, Zard and Shenghe. These cultivars were studied at olive Tarom Research Station for six years from 2011 to 2016 in a randomized complete block design with three replications and three observations per replicate. The yield was recorded for each tree per year with kilogram/tree, and after averaging of three tree observations, the data were analyzed for yield (Y) and alternate bearing factor (I). Orthogonal comparisons performed for two traits, between Local and Foreign cultivars, showed a significant difference between the two groups of cultivars. Tokhm-kabki alternate bearing 79.0, alternate bearing and has the highest number of alternate bearing Koroneiki 30.0, had the lowest alternate bearing. The highest average yield of Koroneiki cultivar was produced with 30.76 kg of product per unit tree, after which the foreign cultivar of Konservolia, producing 37.25 kg per tree, had the highest yield. Among the cultivars, the Zard variety was the highest production and Shenghe variety has the lowest yield. According to the two parameters mentioned, the most suitable varieties, with optimum yield and lowest alternate bearing Koroneiki cultivar was selected. | ||
