[English]
In remote sensing, any square sample plot with sides parallel to satellite pixels and dimensions proportional to the image's spatial resolution, which is collected on the ground from forest stands (such as a pure beech stand), can be used as a training sample in discrimination and classification analysis. The position of the center of the said sample plot is usually recorded using a handheld GPS. Factors such as (1) spatial mismatch between the center of the sample plot and the center of the corresponding satellite pixel, (2) GPS error, and (3) image displacement cause the center of the sample plot collected in the forest not to necessarily coincide with its actual location on the image. To ensure that the nature of the training sample does not change during the relocation of the ground sample plot center on the image and the extraction of spectral values, or during the process of detecting phenomena in remote sensing images, it is necessary that the phenomenon present in its eight neighboring plots also be homogeneous and similar to that of the central plot. Accordingly, the spectral values extracted from a single band for the training sample plot and the eight neighboring pixels belonging to pure beech are largely similar. To reduce the error of pixel displacement relative to the actual location of ground features, using satellite images with high spatial resolution is an effective strategy, because the pixel size is smaller and alignment with ground features is performed more accurately.
