Palynological study in some species of the Heliantheae alliance and its systematic significance | ||

| The Heliantheae alliance, with 13 tribes, approximately 460 genera, and 5,500 species, comprises nearly 20–25% of the known species of the Asteraceae, and its members are mainly distributed in warm temperate regions. The taxonomic boundaries of this group have always been complex and controversial. Pollen morphology, due to the relative conservatism of some pollen features, can provide valuable information for systematic studies of this group. The aim of this study was to identify and describe pollen types in the selected taxa of the Heliantheae alliance based on palynological features and to investigate relationships among the studied tribes, subtribes, genera, and species using these data. For this purpose, pollen morphology of 27 taxa from nine genera belonging to five tribes, namely, Coreopsideae, Eupatorieae, Heliantheae, Millerieae, and Tageteae, was examined using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results of clustering and ordination analyses identified three distinct pollen types including Helianthus, Eupatorium, and Xanthium among the studied species. The principal component analysis (PCA) method showed that, pollen size, spine height, the ratio of spine height to spine diameter and distance between spines were the most important features for distinguishing these pollen types. The results of this study showed that, pollen features, particularly those related to pollen size and spine morphology, can provide valuable evidence for distinguishing and grouping the studied taxa and identifying distinct pollen types. | ||

| گروه خویشاوند هلیانته (Heliantheae alliance) با 13 قبیله، حدود 460 جنس و 5500 گونه، نزدیک به 25-20 درصد از گونههای شناخته شده کاسنیان را در بر میگیرد و اعضای آن بیشتر در مناطق معتدل گرم پراکنش دارند. حدود طبقهبندی این گروه همواره پیچیده و بحثبرانگیز بوده است. ریختشناسی گرده، به دلیل پایداری نسبی برخی صفات، میتواند اطلاعات ارزشمندی در مطالعات سیستماتیکی این گروه فراهم کند. هدف این مطالعه، شناسایی و توصیف تیپهای گردهای در آرایههای منتخب از گروه خویشاوند هلیانته براساس صفات گردهشناسی و بررسی روابط بین قبیلهها، زیرقبیلهها، جنسها و گونههای بررسی شده با استفاده از این دادهها بود. به این منظور، ریختشناسی گرده نُه گونه از نُه جنس متعلق به پنج قبیله Coreopsideae، Eupatorieae، Heliantheae، Millerieae و Tageteae با استفاده از میکروسکوپ الکترونی روبشی (SEM) بررسی شد. نتایج تحلیلهای خوشهبندی و رستهبندی، سه تیپ گردهای مجزا شامل Helianthus ،Eupatorium و Xanthium را در گونههای مورد مطالعه شناسایی کرد. روش تجزیه به مؤلفههای اصلی (PCA) نشان داد که اندازه گرده، ارتفاع خارها، نسبت ارتفاع خارها به قطر آنها و فاصله بین خارها مهمترین صفات در تفکیک این تیپهای گردهای بودند. نتایج این پژوهش نشان داد که صفات گردهشناسی، به ویژه ویژگیهای مرتبط با اندازه گرده و ریختشناسی خارها، میتوانند شواهد ارزشمندی برای تمایز و گروهبندی آرایههای مورد مطالعه و شناسایی تیپهای گرده فراهم کنند. | ||
