| Abstract | ||
| In recent years, Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)s have been used to spray various fertilizers, chemical pesticides, and nutrients. In the field of spraying chemical pesticides with UAVs, which is currently more widely used, research shows that this method is more useful than mechanical or manual spraying methods. Although UAVs reduce water and pesticide consumption, due to uniform spraying, there is a possibility of receiving a solution in a smaller or larger amount than necessary. This leads to insufficient protection of the crop or contamination of water and soil resources, and compromises the quality and health of the crop. Therefore, a new generation of UAVs with the ability to site-specific spraying in sufficient amounts and in the right place, which are called variable rate UAV sprayers, is being developed. Therefore, this paper attempts to introduce this new technology as the alphabet of the application of artificial intelligence in agricultural crop production operations. It also presents existing global experiences in this field and describes the main components of this technology. It is hoped that in the near future, UAVs within the country will be equipped with this technology, we will witness a revolution in reducing the consumption of chemicals and environmental pollution. | ||
