| Abstract | ||
| To evaluate the efficacy of different formulations of the herbicide Imazamox (Imertar Extra) in controlling weeds in soybean fields, an experiment was conducted during the 2023–2024 cropping season using a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with ten treatments and four replications in the provinces of Mazandaran and Ardabil, Iran. Results indicated that in the Mazandaran trial, application of Imazapyr at 140 g ha⁻¹ was significantly superior by 19–20% compared to Pursuit and Imertar Extra in terms of weed biomass reduction, while showing no significant difference from the mixture of Bentazon + Clethodim. No significant difference was observed between Imazamox at 1250 mL ha⁻¹ and other registered herbicides in terms of weed biomass reduction. In the Ardabil trial, Imazapyr at 140 g ha⁻¹ and Imazamox at 1250 mL ha⁻¹ resulted in 93.4% and 91.5% weed control, respectively, ranking among the most effective treatments. Post-emergence application of Imazamox (SL 4%, 1250 mL ha⁻¹) and Imazapyr (WDG 70%, 140 g ha⁻¹) provided comparable levels of weed control to Pursuit SL 10% (750–1000 mL ha⁻¹) and Imertar Extra WG 70% (45–50 g ha⁻¹), with no significant differences despite lower active ingredient rates. Both Imazamox and Imazapyr, at the tested rates, exhibited no noticeable phytotoxic effects on soybean plants. | ||
