| Abstract | ||
| This study was conducted to determine the effects of weaning different times on feedlot and carcass traits in Lori male lambs. In order to 36 Lori male lambs that were born at same season randomly selected and assigned to three groups. They were weaned at 60, 90 and 120 days and then fattened during 90 days. Experiment was done with using completely randomized design (CRD) including three treatments and 3 replications. The results showed that there was significant different the weaning weight (p < 0.05). The worst feed conversation was observed in 120 days weaning with 7.59 that there was significant difference among treatments (p < 0.05). The most ADG observed in 60 days weaning lambs with198gr and the least 120 days weaning treatment. The lowest fat-tail weight was belonging to 60 days weaning lambs and the most 120 days weaning treatment. The weaning different ages were significantly effect on efficiency carcass so that those 60 days weaning lambs were the most with 48.12 percentage. The effects of weaning different ages were on lean meat percentage, total carcass fat significant but on bone percentage was no significant. The results of experiment showed the highest lean meat percentage (58.95%) was belonging to 60 days weaning lambs. The cost of producing per kg carcass (228179 Rials) and lean meat (387072 Rials) was lowest in 60 day weaned lambs. Overall, the results showed that Lori breeds lambs weaning at 60 days were higher weight gain, lower feed conversation and to have suitable carcass traits comparison other treatments. | ||
