Abstract | ||
Salmonellosis is a zoonotic disease caused by serovars of the genus salmonella. Human infections caused by various serovars of salmonella from multiple human and animal sources. Infected camels may show symptoms like abortion, gastroenteritis and diarrhea. A high rate of abortion and diarrhea had been reported in a herd of camel in Mashhad. The aim of this study is to finding the cause of abortion among this camel herd. For this purpose, the samples were taken from gallbladder contents and amniotic fluid of 10 aborted fetuses. Also 10 samples were taken from camel’s food including concentrate, straw, bran and beet pulp. Two cases of salmonella were identified from gallbladder of fetuses and the presence of salmonella in straw and beet pulp samples were recognized. | ||
